Cardinals vs. Padres Saturday Pick
The Cardinals offense continues to be in a massive funk and their first game at Petco Park this weekend didn’t solve their issues, as they scored a single run in a 3-1 loss. Will tonight’s game between the Cards and Padres also turn low-scoring for bettors?

St. Louis Cardinals Fantasy Spin
Marcell Ozuna suffered a potential fracture to the middle finger on his right hand on Friday against the Padres and is likely headed to the disabled list. He jammed the fingers on his right hand as he dove back into the first base bag while getting picked off. The Cardinals suspect a fracture in his middle finger. Ozuna is slashing .259/.331/.515 with 20 home runs and 62 RBI on the season.
San Diego Padres Fantasy Spin
Eric Hosmer went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two RBI in the Padres’ win over the Cardinals on Friday. Hosmer went back-to-back with rookie sensation Fernando Tatis Jr. to put the Padres ahead in the sixth inning. He also plated a key insurance run with an RBI ground out in the eighth. The 29-year-old first baseman owns a robust .289/.344/.460 triple-slash line with 46 runs scored, 13 homers and 57 RBI in 340 plate appearances this season. It wouldn’t be shocking to see him threaten his previous career-high of 25 homers, a feat he accomplished twice with the Royals back in 2016 and 2017.
