Kansas City Royals DFS SPIN
Jordan Lyles took a complete-game loss after allowing four runs — two warned — in eight innings Sunday against the Cubs. Lyles is now tied with Sandy Alcantara for the major league lead with three complete games. The difference is that all of Lyles’ complete games have been losses. He has as many complete-game losses as the rest of the league combined, at least if we toss out a rain-shortened, five-inning complete game for David Peterson. Lyles is 3-14 with a 6.07 ERA.
Oakland A’s DFS SPIN
Brent Rooker crushed his 20th home run of the season on Sunday as the Athletics were slaughtered by the Orioles. The 28-year-old All-Star outfielder got the Athletics on the board with his 391-foot solo blast off of Nick Vespi in the seventh inning. That would be their lone tally in the ballgame. Rooker finished the day 1-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts and is now hitting .245/.329/.469 with 20 long balls and 51 RBI on the season.

Royals at A’s MLB BETTING PREDICTION
Give me the A’s. Blackburn is 1-1 with a 1.93 ERA and 3.32 FIP over his last three starts, spanning 18 2/3 innings in the process. Davidson is a complete wildcard, but he’s unlikely to pitch more than a handful of innings and then Kansas City’s bullpen will take over, which is a good thing for Oakland backers considering the Royals’ bullpen owns a 5.43 ERA and 5.71 FIP since August 1.
