Phillies vs. Cubs MLB Prediction

The Phillies and Cubs open a new series at Wrigley Field on Monday night where Matt Moore will oppose Zach Davies in the pitching matchup. With how well Davies has thrown of late, will the Cubs cash despite their recent struggles?

Philadelphia Phillies DFS SPIN

Rhys Hoskins homered, double and drove in two runs on Saturday in a 4-2 win over the Padres. Hoskins swatted his 18th homer of the season off Yu Darvish, and then doubled in a run in the sixth against Darvish to make it 4-2. The first baseman also drew a walk, and he’s slashing .225/.301/.460 in an even 80 games. The power is nice, but it’d be nicer to see Hoskins contributing in some other categories.

Chicago Cubs DFS Spin

Patrick Wisdom was removed from Wednesday’s game against the Brewers with right neck tightness and a left eye contusion. An errant throw from Jake Arrieta in the bottom of the second inning led Wisdom right into the path of Tyrone Taylor and the Cubs’ infielder took the brunt of that collision. He was clearly shaken up but did manage to walk off the field under his own power. Taylor Gushue entered to play first base.

Phillies vs. Cubs Betting Prediction

The Phillies are a perfect 4-0 in their last four games versus the Cubs, are 4-0 in their last four games coming off a loss and have cashed in four of their last five games when facing an opponent with a winning record. Meanwhile, the Cubs have dropped nine straight overall, are 0-8 in their last eight games coming off a loss and are 3-13 in their last 16 games after scoring two runs or less in their previous contest.
