Phillies’ Arrieta allows three runs over seven innings in last start
Jake Arrietta allowed three runs — one earned — in seven innings and collected a win against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday. The Phillies made three errors behind him but Arrieta stayed poised and held it together like a veteran should. He scattered four hits and two walks while notching just two strikeouts. He walked in one run and allowed two more on a pair of sacrifice flies. He moves to 3-0 with a stellar 1.82 ERA in his first season with his new club.
Marlins set to activate Straily
Dan Straily (forearm) is expected to start Monday against the Phillies. Straily began the season on the disabled list with inflammation in his right forearm, but he made it through three rehab starts with no issues. The veteran right-hander did post a 6.92 ERA over those three outings. With Wei-Yin Chen (elbow) also returning this weekend, the Marlins have decision to make on what to do with Caleb Smith, Dillon Peters and Trevor Richards.
