Oakland A’s Fantasy Spin
Khris Davis slugged a go-ahead solo homer off Chris Martin in the eighth inning as part of Friday’s 8-6 comeback victory over the Rangers. The Athletics rallied from five runs down to pull off the victory. Davis leads the majors with 10 homers and has five of them in his last three games. He just can’t be stopped right now.
Texas Rangers Fantasy Spin
Asdrubal Cabrera went 1-for-3 with a solo homer and a walk Friday against the Athletics. The homer was his fourth of the season and snapped an 0-for-13 hitless streak. Signed to a one-year, $3.5 million contract in January, Cabrera was solid out of the gate before struggling of late. Still, his recent consistency and multi-position eligibility are two big reasons to keep him on your fantasy roster.
MLB Betting Trends
Oakland
The A’s are winless in Marco Estrada’s last four starts.
Texas
The Rangers are winless at 0-4 in Adrian Sampson’s last four starts.
Prediction:
Bettors should be able to count on both offenses again tonight in Arlington. Marco Estrada is starting for the A’s and he’s already allowed five home runs across 20 1/3 innings. He surrendered 1.8 HR/9 in 2018 and finished with a WHIP of least 1.38 in back-to-back seasons. This is a horrible park for Estrada, who face Joey Gallo, Nomar Mazara and Elvis Andrus. Meanwhile, Adrian Sampson will start for Oakland after Edinson Volquez (elbow) was placed on the IL. Davis has put on a show but Matt Chapman is also hot.
The Pick: A’s/Rangers OVER 10.5
