New York Yankees Fantasy Spin
Aaron Hicks doubled and ripped a solo home run Tuesday in Toronto. He scored on Clint Frazier’s two-run shot in the fourth inning before belting a no-doubter off of reliever Joe Biagini in the eighth. The homer cut the Yankees’ deficit to one, but that’s as close as they would get. Hicks has gotten off to a slow start since making his season debut three weeks ago, but he makes for a nice buy low target.
Toronto Blue Jays Fantasy Spin
Blue Jays recalled OF Teoscar Hernandez from Triple-A Buffalo. Hernandez will get another shot in Toronto after posting decent numbers during his three-week stretch at the Triple-A level. He had batted just .189/.262/.299 with 42 strikeouts through his first 141 plate appearances this season with the Blue Jays. There’s not a ton of fantasy appeal here, though Hernandez should start semi-regularly in right field, with Randal Grichuk moving over to center. Jonathan Davis was optioned back to Buffalo in a corresponding 25-man roster move.
