LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – The Dodgers lead the rest of the NL West at the All-Star Break but what are their odds to win the division by season’s end?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Dodgers’ odds to win the National League West are currently 1/5, making them the clear favorites to win the division. The Giants have the next best odds at 7/2, while the Padres are 14/1 and the Diamondbacks are 25/1. The Rockies have the division’s longest odds to win at 100/1.

The Dodgers currently lead the Giants by 4.5 games and the Diamondbacks by 7.5. They also have the best run differential in the division at +62 and have the assets to make a big move at the trade deadline. If L.A. can add another top-of-the-rotation ace like Johnny Cueto or Cole Hamels to team with Clayton Kershaw and Zack Greinke the Dodgers will be more than just division favorites. They’ll likely be World Series favorites as well.

Giants GM Brian Sabean is never afraid to make a move at the deadline but his farm system is devoid of talent with so many young players already at the big league level. Buster Posey, Brandon Crawford, Brandon Belt and Joe Panik are all homegrown players that are under 30. Still if a trade for a pitcher entices Sabean enough, maybe he’ll be willing to part with a decent prospect to see if his team can’t make a run at their fourth World Series appearance since 2010.
