Diamondbacks MLB Season Odds
PHOENIX, AZ (The Spread) – Will the new-look Diamondbacks have success under new management in both the front office and on the field?
The Diamondbacks went through an overall last year in preparation for the 2015 season. Tony La Russa was named Chief Baseball Officer for the team and hired his former A’s pitcher Dave Stewart to be general manager. Chip Hale was also named manager.
The Diamondbacks weren’t too busy in free agency but did land a significant prize in Cuban outfielder Yasmany Tomas, who signed a six-year $68.5 million contract. He’s also expected to try out for third base but either way, his power should translate nice to that ballpark. The team also signed Nick Punto, Gerald Laird, Jordan Pacheco, Danny Worth and Blake Beavan.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Diamondbacks’ over/under for number of wins in the 2015 regular season has been set at 71.5. They’re also 100/1 long shots to win the World Series this year and are 50/1 to win the AL Pennant.
