Over cashing in Yankees vs. Sox
BRONX, NY (The Spread) – One of the most storied rivalries in sports will be renewed tonight when the Yankees host the Red Sox at 7:05PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Yankees are -105 money line favorites over the Red Sox, who are -103 money line underdogs. As for the total, it opened at 7.5 and that’s where the number currently sits.
The over is 6-2 in the last eight meetings between these two teams and 4-1 in the Yankees’ last five games as a home favorite. The over is also 4-1 in the Bombers’ last five divisional games and 6-2 in their last eight games with the total set at 7 and 8.5.
On the other side, the over is 4-1 in the Red Sox’s last five games overall and 5-0 in their last five games versus a starter with a WHIP less than 1.15.
Wade Miley will take on Nathan Eovaldi in the pitching matchup.
