Milwaukee Brewers Fantasy Spin
Ryan Braun belted a two-run home run in his return to the Brewers’ lineup Tuesday. Braun missed three starts with a hamstring issue but made a triumphant return in this one, taking Jerad Eickhoff over the left-center field wall in the third inning. It was his ninth dinger of the season and fourth already this month in just 39 plate appearances. He’ll always be an injury risk, but Braun should be plenty productive when he’s out there.
Philadelphia Phillies Fantasy Spin
Jean Segura singled twice and plated the Phillies’ lone run Tuesday versus the Brewers. The Phillies drew five walks off of starter Brandon Woodruff, but Segura’s infield single in the first inning was their only hit off of him. The shortstop singled again in the eighth to drive in his 16th run of the season. The counting stats for Segura have been lacking, but he’s batting .308 and hasn’t been below .300 since the third game of the season.
MLB Betting Trends
Milwaukee
The Brewers are now 13-6 in their last 19 games in Philadelphia following last night’s win over the Phillies.
Philadelphia
The over is 20-7-1 in the last 28 meetings between these two teams at Citizens Bank Park.
Prediction:
Despite how profitable the over has been when these two teams meet, I like the under tonight given the pitching matchup. The under is 4-0 in Gio Gonzalez’s last four starts overall and is 4-1 in the Brewers’ last five games overall. The under is also 19-6-1 in Milwaukee’s last 26 road games and cashed in five of the Brewers’ previous seven games following a win. On the other side, the under is 7-3 in Jake Arrieta’s last 10 starts overall and is 18-7-1 in their last 26 games overall.
The Pick: Brewers/Phillies UNDER 9
