Anderson still searching for first win of 2018
Chase Anderson allowed two runs over six innings in a loss to the Cubs last Sunday. He surrendered four hits, including a solo home run to Ben Zobrist, while also walking two batters and striking out two. While he did post a poor outing against the Cardinals, Anderson has two quality starts in his first three starts of the season. He’s now 0-1 with a 3.38 ERA.
Despite falling to 7-7 on the new season, Brewers manager Craig Counsell said he saw some positives from Friday night’s 6-5 loss in New York.
“I thought we swung the bats much better tonight,” Counsell said. “I thought for the first time in a while we were pretty consistent, had some guys hit some balls hard.”
Following successful season debut, Harvey struggles vs. Nationals
Matt Harvey struggled in a no-decision against the Nationals last Sunday night on ESPN. He allowed four runs on nine hits over five innings of work. He also struck out two on the night and allowed a two-run home run to Bryce Harper in the first inning. Still, he was in a position to collect his second win of the season but the Mets’ bullpen was unable to hold the lead. Harvey now owns a 3.60 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP.
Quotable: “We don’t feel pressure at all, we’re just going out there, playing the game we love,” Mets’ third baseman Todd Frazier said. “We expect to win. That’s a good feeling. I think once you expect to win and you truly believe it, I think there’s no going wrong.”

Milwaukee
The Brewers are 2-8 in their last 10 games in New York after their loss last night.
New York
The Mets are 8-1 in their last nine home games.
Prediction:
Even though we don’t know what we’re going to get out of Harvey after one good start and one poor outing, the Mets are too hot and their price tag is too good to pass up tonight. They’re 15-3 in their last 18 games overall dating back to last year and have won four of Harvey’s last five home starts. They’re 7-3 in his last 10 outings versus the National League Central as well.
The Pick: New York Mets -115
