New York Mets DFS SPIN
Pete Alonso hit a two-run homer off Adam Wainwright as the Mets topped the Cardinals 4-2 on Thursday. Alonso has 11 homers in his last 23 games and 37 overall this season. He’s third in the majors there and tied for third with his 91 RBI.
St. Louis Cardinals DFS SPIN
Cardinals selected the contract of SS Masyn Winn from Triple-A Memphis. The Cardinals were just waiting until there was no longer 45 days left in the regular season. They’ll also want Winn to come in under 130 at-bats, allowing him to retain rookie eligibility next year, so he’ll probably get the occasional day off. Still, he’ll certainly be the primary shortstop, and he might offer enough in the home run and stolen base categories to contribute in shallow mixed leagues. The 21-year-old top prospect has posted a stellar .834 OPS with 18 homers and 17 steals across 498 plate appearances over 105 games this season for Triple-A Memphis. He’s worthy of a speculative roster spot in all fantasy formats.

Mets vs. Cardinals MLB BETTING PREDICTION
As of this writing, the Mets have yet to announce a starter for tonight’s game and Thompson has only made one start over the past month, which came last week. When you look at both offenses, the Cardinals’ wRC+ over the past month is 116, while the Mets’ wRC+ is 105 over that same span. With two offenses with plenty of pop, I’m going to roll the dice and back the over.
