Brandon Belt went 4-for-5 with a pair of solo home runs and three total RBI in Tuesday’s 8-0 win over the Mets. Belt twice victimized Tylor Megill with solo shots, whacking one in the first inning and one in the fourth inning. The slugger added an infield RBI single in the eighth inning, just for good measure. This was Belt’s second multi-homer game of the campaign. Overall this season, the veteran first baseman is working to a .247/.355/.556 slash line with a new career-high 19 home runs across 71 games played. He has homered in two of his last three games.
New York Mets DFS Notes
Francisco Lindor went 0-for-4 in Tuesday’s loss to the Giants. Lindor was activated from the injured list in advance of this game. He had been on the shelf since mid-July with a Grade 2 oblique strain. Nothing doing in his return, but good to see him back in the lineup regardless. Prior to his injury, Lindor was hitting a paltry .225/.322/.371 with 11 home runs, 36 RBI and eight steals in 88 games.
