Los Angeles Dodgers DFS SPIN
Mookie Betts went 3-for-4 and drove in a run on Sunday, propelling the Dodgers to a 3-1 victory over the Braves. Betts delivered a run-scoring single off of Braves’ starter Charlie Morton in the fifth inning, increasing the Dodgers’ lead to 2-0. All three of his hits in the ballgame were singles. The 30-year-old superstar is having an absolutely unbelievable season at the dish — slashing .316/.410/.615 with 38 homers, 99 RBI and 10 stolen bases in what has been an MVP-caliber campaign
Miami Marlins DFS SPIN
Luis Arraez went 2-for-4 with a home run in Miami’s win on Sunday over Washington. Arraez now has six home runs on the season, which is just two shy of his career high. The homer was also 375 feet and hit 102.8 mph off the bat, so it wasn’t some sort of fluke. The Marlins’ lead-off hitter is now hitting .356/.398/.457 on the year but is coming off an August where he hit just .236 which is eerily reminiscent of him slightly fading down the stretch last year as well.
Dodgers vs. Marlins MLB Betting Trends
The total has gone OVER in 5 of LA Dodgers’s last 6 games on the road
LA Dodgers is 9-2 SU in its last 11 games when playing Miami
Miami is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games
Miami is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games
Dodgers vs. Marlins MLB BETTING PREDICTION
Give me the over. Kershaw has a 2.12 ERA over his last four starts (17 innings), but his 5.61 FIP suggests that he isn’t pitching as well as his ERA would indicate. Luzardo, meanwhile, is 1-2 with a 5.68 ERA and 5.68 FIP over his last four starts (19 innings), so he’s just been flat bad. The bullpen for both of these teams have been fine, but the Dodgers are swinging hot bats over their last 10 games (139 wRC+), while the Marlins have been slightly better than average over their last nine contests (101 wRC+).
MLB BETTING PREDICTION: DODGERS/MARLINS OVER 7.5
