Milwaukee Brewers DFS Notes
Daniel Vogelbach launched a two-run homer Wednesday in the Brewers’ win over the Cardinals. Miles Mikolas tried to sneak a fastball past Vogelbach with two out and a runner on in the sixth inning, but the big first baseman wasn’t having it, hitting it 410 feet into the Cards’ bullpen. Vogelbach also added a single in his second two-hit game in 12 starts this month.
St. Louis Cardinals DFS Notes
Making his first relief appearance since 2017, Jack Flaherty allowed a couple baserunners but completed a scoreless inning Wednesday versus the Brewers. Flaherty got the eighth inning with the Cardinals down 4-0. He struck out the first batter he saw on three pitches and then got a shallow flyout. A two-out double and a walk put him into a jam, but he got out of it with a deep flyout. Flaherty threw 17 pitches in this one after throwing 19 pitches while lasting just one-third of an inning in a start last week. It’s possible the team will give him another relief appearance later this week as they do their best to get him used to the role he’s pegged for in the playoffs, which appears to be a short reliever.
Brewers vs. Cardinals MLB Betting Prediction
The Brewers are 5-2 in their last seven games versus the Cardinals at Busch Stadium, are 5-1 in their last six games versus a left-handed starter and are 4-1 in their last five games overall. They’re also 51-19 in their last 70 games coming off a win, are 39-16 in their last 55 road contests and are 13-6 in their last 19 games after allowing two runs or less in their previous contest.
