Atlanta Braves DFS SPIN
Travis d’Arnaud went 4-for-5 with a double and two RBI in the Braves’ 7-2 defeat of the Nationals on Thursday. We’ve been wondering how often d’Arnaud might get the chance to DH with the Braves electing not to carry a third catcher. He did get the nod there today, with Eddie Rosario sitting against a left-hander. One could make a case that d’Arnaud would also be a better option than Marcell Ozuna in that spot against righties. It seems Ozuna is going to get a chance to show what he can do, though.
Washington Nationals DFS SPIN
CJ Abrams went 0-for-4 and committed three errors at shortstop Thursday against the Braves. It’s hard to have a game much worse than that. Abrams didn’t show much offensively this spring, finishing at .245/.283/.286, but there weren’t any significant issues with his defense. If this turns into a problem for him, the Nationals will probably send him down and let him try to work through it in the minors. Hopefully, it won’t come to that.
