Teoscar Hernandez hit a pair of homers Wednesday to lead the Blue Jays to a 5-1 defeat of the Braves. Hernandez hit a go-ahead homer in the seventh and then added the insurance with his two-run shot in the ninth. The homers were Hernandez’s fourth and fifth of the year. He’s driven in 15 runs in 12 games since returning from a three-week absence due to COVID-19.
Atlanta Braves DFS Spin
William Contreras homered for the Braves’ only run Wednesday against the Blue Jays. Contreras has just four hits in his last six games, but two of those were homers and the other was a three-run double. That he’s struck out 10 times in his last 23 plate appearances doesn’t seem very promising. Still, the Braves don’t have any better options behind the plate right now.
Blue Jays vs. Braves Betting Prediction
The Blue Jays are now 5-0 in their last five games versus the Braves, are 6-1 in their last seven interleague games versus a right-handed starter and are 5-0 in their last five games versus National League East opponents. On the other side, the Braves are just 1-5 in their last six interleague games versus a right-handed starter and are 0-5 in their last five games versus American League East opponents.
