Houston Astros DFS SPIN
Yainer Diaz went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer as the Astros defeated the Marlins 6-5 Tuesday evening. The young backstop is hitting .273/.292/.520 with 16 homers this season, but his inconsistent playing time makes him a frustrating player to the roster. Astros manager Dusty Baker has been persistent in using Martín Maldonado as Houston’s primary catcher, but if Diaz keeps producing, the calls for a switch will only become louder.
Miami Marlins DFS SPIN
Jorge Soler went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in a tough loss to the Astros on Tuesday. Soler greeted Astros starter Cristian Javier in the third inning with a 376-foot (103.8 EV) bomb, giving the Marlins a quick 3-0 lead. With his homer, Soler became the first Marlins player to hit 30-plus homers in a season since 2017, when Marcell Ozuna and Giancarlo Stanton hit 37 and 59, respectively. The slugger is hitting .244/.332/.505 with 65 RBI across 482 plate appearances.

Astros vs. Marlins MLB BETTING PREDICTION
In his two starts for the Astros since he was acquired from the Mets, Verlander is 1-1 with a 3.46 ERA over 13 innings. His FIP (4.04) is a tad higher than his ERA, but still in a great range and tonight he’ll face a Miami offense that has a wRC+ of 91 over its last 30 days. On the other side, Luzardo is 0-2 with a 6.66 ERA over his last five starts (24 1/3 innings). His strikeout rate (10.36) is excellent, but everything else has been a disaster. He’s walking too many batters (4.07 BB/9) and he’s not keeping the ball in the yard (2.22 HR/9). Give me the Astros.
