Tyler Anderson will oppose J.P. France in Saturday night’s pitching matchup as the Astros host the Angels at 7:15 p.m. ET from Minute Maid Park. After Houston battered L.A. in series opener last night, what’s the smart bet tonight in Houston?

Los Angeles Angels DFS SPIN

Mike Trout (wrist) was able to take swings off of the pitching machine on Friday without issue. The 32-year-old superstar continues to progress in his recovery from a fractured left wrist. It has just been light hitting — he has yet to face any breaking balls or any serious velocity — but it’s at least a step in the right direction. He’s trending toward a return in late August as long as he’s able to avoid any setbacks along the way.

Houston Astros DFS SPIN

Jon Singleton went 3-for-4 with two homers and five RBI on Friday, propelling the Astros to an 11-3 blowout victory over the Angels. Wow. Singleton recorded his first career multi-homer performance with an epic two-homer showing in just his third game this season since returning to the majors in Houston. The 31-year-old slugger took Angels starter Reid Detmers deep in the second and third innings, respectively, to give the Astros a commanding five-run cushion by the start of the fourth inning. Given his power upside, and relatively clear path to regular at-bats in Houston, Singleton might be worthy of consideration for a roster spot in deeper mixed leagues and AL-only formats.

Angels vs. Astros MLB BETTING PREDICTION

Anderson is 5-3 with a 4.92 ERA and took the loss against the Mariners last Saturday after allowing just two runs on two hits with three walks and six strikeouts across five innings. He has 11 no-decisions this season, which is tied for the eighth-most in the majors this season, posting a 2.84 ERA over his last five starts since the start of July. On the other side, France is 8-3 with a 2.75 ERA after working out of the bullpen for the first time in his previous appearance. He allowed one unearned run on three hits and three walks with four strikeouts over 3/13 innings in a 9-7 win over the Yankees on Saturday. He’s 6-0 with a 1.73 ERA and has posted five quality starts during those seven appearances. Given the pitching matchup, I like the under tonight in Houston.

MLB BETTING PREDICTION: ANGELS/ASTROS UNDER 9.5
