According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the A’s win total is 81.5 and their odds to win the 2015 World Series are currently 25/1. They’re also 12/1 to win the AL Pennant and 9/2 to win the AL West Division behind the Angels (8/5) and Mariners (8/5).

The A’s made a plethora of moves this offseason and look like a completely different club than the one that took the field in Wild Card playoff game last season. They traded Josh Donaldson to the Blue Jays in exchange for Brett Lawrie, Sean Nolin, Kendall Graveman and Franklin Barreto. They also acquired Josh Phegley, Chris Bassitt, Rangel Ravelo and Marcus Semien from the White Sox in exchange for Jeff Samardzija and Michael Ynoa.

The team also signed Billy Butler to a three-year deal and acquired right-hander Tyler Clippard in exchange for shortstop Yunel Escobar. The team added Jesse Hahn, Ben Zobrist and Ike Davis as well.

While their depth is solid and their starting rotation should be good, the A’s lack power and it’ll remain to be seen if this team is as good as it was last year. It would appear that GM Billy Beane did too much shuffling of the roster but then again, you can never count this team out.
