CLEVELAND, OH (The Spread) – After not making a splash in free agency, will the Indians win at least 85 games during the 2015 MLB regular season?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Indians’ over/under for number of wins in 2015 has been set at 84.5. They’re also 25/1 to win the World Series, 10/1 to win the AL Pennant and 12/5 to win the AL Central Division.

Cleveland signed a slew of players to minor league contracts but were otherwise quiet when it came to the free agent market this past winter. They did sign pitcher Gavin Floyd to a one-year contract and traded Joe Wendle to the A’s for first baseman Brandon Moss, but the Tribe decided not to break the bank for big money free agents.

The Indians will once again rely on Michael Brantley, Carlos Santana, Lonnie Chisenhall and Yan Gomes to carry the offense, as well as defending Cy Young winner Corey Kluber to be the rock of the pitching staff. Considering they won 85 games last season and some of their young stars will have another year of seasoning, winning over 84.5 games shouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility for this team in 2015.
