Brewers’ 2015 MLB Season Odds
MIWLAUKEE, WI (The Spread) – After winning 82 games in 2014, the Brewers’ win total for 2015 has been set at 78.5 games.
The Brewers were in first place at the All-Star Break last year but slumped badly down the stretch, finishing the 2014 season with a record of 82-80 and a third-place showing. Their top player was catcher Jonathan Lucroy, who will once again be counted on heavily for his defense and offense in 2015.
The Brewers made a significant trade this offseason, sending one-time ace Yovani Gallardo and cash to the Rangers in exchange for infielder Luis Sardinas and right-handed pitchers Corey Knebel and Marcos Diplan. The deal left Matt Garza as the team’s new ace, with Kyle Lohse as the No. 2 and Wily Peralta as the No. 3.
Along with Lucroy, Ryan Braun, Carlos Gomez and Aramis Ramirez will be counted on to lead the offense. Jean Segura, Scooter Gennett and newcomer Adam Lind will also play key roles as everyday players in Milwaukee’s lineup as well.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Brewers are 50/1 long shots to win the World Series, 33/1 to win the NL Pennant and 12/1 to win the NL Central Division this season. As previously mentioned, their over/under for wins in 2015 has been set at 78.5.
