World Series Odds

With the All-Star Break complete, the odds to win the 2010 World Series have been updated and the New York Yankees are still the favorite to win it all.

Bet 2010 World Series Odds

Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Yankees 2/1 favorites to repeat as world champions. Other short odds to win are
Texas (7/1),
Boston (8/1),
Atlanta (8/1), and

Tampa
(8/1).

The Yankees have won 27 world titles, including last year’s championship. At the break the Yankees are 56-32, which is the best record in baseball. The Yankees lead the Rays by two games in the AL East at this point and have a 28-13 home record and a 28-19 road record.

Texas
has never won the World Series in franchise history. The Rangers have been somewhat of a surprise this year, as they are 50-38 at the break and have a 4.5-game lead in the AL West. A 31-19 record at home is among the best in the majors but a 19-19 road record is a concern. The recent addition of Cliff Lee to the pitching staff has increased the Rangers odds to win.

The Red Sox have won seven World Series titles in franchise history including the 2007 and 2004 championships.

Boston
is currently 51-37 on the season and on the outside looking in for the playoff picture. The Sox trail the Yankees by five games in the AL East and also trail the Rays by three games in the Wild Card race.

Atlanta
has won the World Series three times, the last of which came in 1995. The Braves have the best record in the National League at 52-36. They lead the Mets by four games in the NL East.

Atlanta
is 30-10 at home but 22-26 on the road.

Atlanta
may be motivated by manager Bobby Cox, who will step down following this season.

Tampa
has never won the World Series in their short history as a franchise. The Rays are 54-34 on the season and are in the lead in the wild card standings by three games over

Boston
.

Tampa
has a strong young pitching staff and were in the lead in the AL East for most of the first half before falling behind late.
