Barnes, Freese power LA to win

Manny Machado finished 2-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI in Tuesday's 11-4 home win over the Mets. Matt Kemp finished 1-for-3 with a walk, while David Freese went 2-for-4 with a home run plus a double for two runs and two RBIs. Enrique Hernandez was 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI. Chris Taylor ended the game 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and two runs. Austin Barnes was 1-for-2 with a home run, a stolen base, two runs and three RBIs. Yasmani Grandal went 1-for-2 with two RBIs off the bench. Rich Hill picked up the win as he gave up four earned runs on seven hits with eight strikeouts and one walk over six innings.

Bruce, Conforto homer in defeat

Amed Rosario finished 2-for-3 with two doubles and a walk in Tuesday's loss. Michael Conforto was 1-for-5 with a 2-run homer. Todd Frazier finished 2-for-4 with a double and a run. Jay Bruce went 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs. Brandon Nimmo was 2-for-4 with a double. Jason Vargas took the loss as he allowed five runs (four earned) on six hits with two strikeouts and one walk over 3 1/3 innings.

Zack Wheeler (9-7, 3.37 ERA) will start today for New York, while Los Angeles turns to Hyun-jin Ryu (4-1, 2.24).

MLB Betting Trends

New York

The Mets are 8-2 in Wheeler's last 10 starts. New York is 5-16 in the last 21 meetings.

Los Angeles

The Dodgers are 9-2 in their last 11 games. The under is 7-1 in Ryu's last eight home starts.

Wheeler has been tremendous over the last few months and has the type of stuff to hold LA at bay. Ryu's has been good when healthy, but since returning from the DL he has had a couple hiccups. Finding plus money that wins is how to make a big profit in the betting world and I think the Mets fit the bill of a solid underdog bet tonight.
