Hanson drives in go-ahead run
Alen Hanson brought in the go-ahead run for the Giants in the ninth inning yesterday en route to a 2-1 victory. He also drove in the first San Francisco run of the day as he went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Evan Longoria finished 1-for-2 with a walk and a run. Nick Hundley was 1-for-2 with a walk before getting ejected in the eighth inning after a fight with Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig. Brandon Belt went 1-for-1 with a run off the bench. Sam Dyson picked up the win in relief as he allowed one earned run on two hits with one strikeout in an inning of work. Will Smith earned his 10th save as he allowed one hit with two strikeouts in one inning.
Turner has three-hit night
Justin Turner paced the Dodgers offense as he was 3-for-4 with three doubles and a run in Tuesday's loss. Manny Machado finished 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI. Kenta Maeda suffered the loss in relief as he gave up one earned run on three hits plus one strikeout in one inning.
MLB Betting Trends
The under is 15-5-2 in the last 22 San Francisco road games. The Giants are 4-1 in their last five games.
The Dodgers are 19-7 in their last 26 games during game three of a series. Los Angeles is 1-4 in its last five home games.
Ryu has been excellent when healthy for the Dodgers, but unfortunately that isn't nearly often enough. He's good to go tonight, however, and should limit a San Francisco offense that struggles to put up big numbers. Holland has exceeded expectations this season, but usually doesn't completely mow down offenses especially those as good as LA's. Take the home team here.
