Rockies vs. Cardinals Prediction
Will the Rockies rebound off their loss last night and pull off an upset against the Cardinals tonight at 8:15PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Cardinals are -122 money line favorites versus the Rockies, who have odds of +112 to pull off the upset at Busch Stadium. With Jon Gray set to face Lance Lynn in the pitching matchup, the over/under is sitting at 8.5 runs.

From Rotoworld: Gray surrendered four runs on seven hits over six innings in Wednesday’s win over the Padres. Gray struck out seven and walked two in the outing. He had the luxury of working with a monster lead in this one, as the Rockies jumped out to a 13-0 lead through five innings before the Padres finally managed to get to the right-hander in a four-run sixth. The key blow in that frame came when he surrendered a three-run homer to Cory Spangenberg. With this one in the books, Gray will carry a 6.19 ERA and 1.75 WHIP (seven starts) into a road outing against the Cardinals next time he takes to the mound. An eight-run debacle against the Mets in his start previous to Wednesday is cause for a good amount of the bloat on that earned-run number.
Lynn pitched six innings of one-run ball Thursday in a no-decision against the Mets. Lynn had a brief rough spell in June, but he’s allowed just the one run over 19 1/3 innings in his last three starts, bringing his ERA back down to 3.30. He should bring back a quality prospect if the Cardinals decide to sell.
