MLB Betting Trends
Boston
The Red Sox are 7-1 in the last eight Rodriguez Sunday starts. Boston is 28-10 in its last 38 Sunday games.
Houston
The Astros are 2-5 in their last seven home games versus the Red Sox. Houston is 41-17 in the last 58 Verlander starts.
Prediction:
I don’t make it a quest to bet against Verlander and I’m not going to here. The Astros hit lefties well even without George Springer in the lineup and Rodriguez hasn’t been in good form lately. Considering he probably won’t get much run support, I don’t trust that lack of room for error. Look for Houston to establish an early lead and ride Verlander the rest of the way.
