Reds vs. Giants Saturday Prediction
The Reds took Game 1 of their three-game series against the Giants on Friday night behind an excellent effort by their pitching staff. With Saturday’s meeting at Oracle Park also turn into a low-scoring affair?

Cincinnati Reds Fantasy Spin
Nick Senzel finished 2-for-5 with a triple and two RBI versus the Giants on Friday. Senzel is still looking for that first big-league double, but he already has three homers and a triple in eight games. He’s 8-for-35 since getting the call.
San Francisco Giants Fantasy Spin
Brandon Belt will get an MRI after leaving Friday’s game due to right knee inflammation. Tyler Austin will likely fill in at first base on Saturday. The Giants are optimistic that Belt won’t miss much time, but they’ll have a better idea after the MRI.
MLB Betting Trends
Cincinnati
The Reds are 7-2 in their last nine meetings with the Giants.
San Francisco
Despite losing last night at Oracle Park, the Giants are 5-2 in their last seven home games versus the Reds.
Prediction:
The Giants have one of the worst offenses in baseball and if Belt is set to miss any amount of time, then San Francisco will also be down one of its only quality hitters. Meanwhile, even though he was abused by this same Reds team in his last start, Jeff Samardzija has actually pitched better than expected to start the season. He’ll face this same Cincinnati lineup, although with the benefit now of pitching in spacious Oracle Park. The under is 4-1-1 in Samardzija’s last six home starts and is 38-12-1 in the Reds’ last 51 home games. I expect another low-scoring game tonight in San Francisco.
The Pick: Reds/Giants UNDER 7
