Braves' Teheran pitches seven scoreless innings vs. Mets

Julio Teheran blanked the Mets for seven innings to pick up a win Thursday. Teheran, who left his last start with trapezius tightness, moved to 2-1 with a 3.65 ERA this season. He's pitched 14 scoreless innings against the Mets while allowing 15 runs in 23 innings against the rest of the league. Next up is a start against Tampa Bay.

Rays' Yarbrough fires five scoreless innings to beat Blue Jays

Ryan Yarbrough was outstanding in relief of Andrew Kittredge on Friday, firing five shutout innings in a victory over the Blue Jays. Yarbrough allowed just one hit and struck out four over his five masterful innings, needing just 58 pitches (40 strikes) to record 15 outs. He had been scheduled to start the bullpen game for the Rays, but manager Kevin Cash opted to start out with Kittredge instead, and it paid off. Yarbrough has done a nice job out of the bullpen, registering a 3.33 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 20/10 K/BB ratio in 24 1/3 innings.
