Donald wins again
LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL (TheSpread) – Luke Donald showed why he was the favorite to win the Children’s Miracle Network Classic as he rallied to win the event on Sunday.
Donald, who is ranked No. 1 in the world, shot an 8-under 64 on Sunday to finish the tournament at 7-under par and defeat Justin Leonard by two shots, as Leonard shot a 1-under 71 in the final round.
According to oddsmakers, Donald had odds of 7/1 to win the tournament, which means a $100 wager on Donald will pay out an additional $700.
Donald now has four victories on the year and he has a firm grasp on the rankings lead and also will win the 2011 money title with the victory.
