UFC on Fuel TV 3 will take place from the Patriot Center at 8PM ET with a main event that features a pair of top featherweight contenders as Dustin Poirier (12-1) faces Chan Sung Jung (12-3). According to oddsmakers, Poirier is the favorite to win this bout, as he has been given a money line of -320, while Jung has been given odds of +260. Since moving to featherweight from lightweight, Poirier has went 5-0, winning in impressive fashion in all five contests. He is a good all-around fighter with deadly submissions on the ground. Jung is a winner in his last two, with his last win coming in just seven seconds over former No. 1 contender, Mark Hominick.
The co-main event for Tuesday night is a lightweight bout featuring Donald Cerrone (17-4) and Jeremy Stephens (20-7). According to oddsmakers, Cerrone is the favorite to win this bout, as he has odds of -250 to win. Stephens comes in with a money line of +200. Both fighters are coming off losses, but Cerrone was nearing a title shot prior to his loss. He has better all-around skill, as he is a kickboxer with good submission ability. Stephens is more of a power puncher that lacks technique, but also has some good wrestling. Cerrone should be able to push a faster pace and be more diverse in his attack.
