ANAHEIM, CA (TheSpread) – The UFC Heavyweight Championship bout between Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos is on as the two weighed-in on Friday for the UFC on FOX contest.

Velasquez (9-0) is the champion entering the fight and he weighed in at 249 pounds on Friday night. Dos Santos (13-1), the challenger, weighed in at 239 pounds. After stepping on the scales, the two had an intense stare down to help get the fight fans excited. The fight will take place from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California and air live on FOX at 9PM ET.
According to oddsmakers, Velasquez is the favorite to win this contest, with odds of -190 on Saturday night. Junior dos Santos has a money line of +155 for the contest. Velasquez opened as a -165 favorite while dos Santos had a line of +135, so Velasquez is picking up action in the sportsbooks.
Both men have not lost a fight in the octagon and both are powerful strikers. Velasquez has the wrestling background while dos Santos is a black belt in jiu-jitsu. Each man should have an opportunity to control the fight wherever it takes place. One big key to the fight will be the conditioning of the champion, who hasn’t fought in over a year after having rotator cuff surgery.
