ARLINGTON, TX (The Spread) – While he didn’t practice, Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant paid a surprise visit to the final day of the team’s minicamp on Thursday.
According to Todd Archer of ESPN.com, Bryant sat with teammates in the stands at AT&T Stadium as coach Jason Garrett addressed the team. Bryant then played a quick game of catch with fellow wideout Cole Beasley and then spoke with Tony Romo before remaining on the sidelines for most of the practice. He also had a conversation with owner Jerry Jones.
“It’s great to have him here. Dez obviously hasn’t signed his franchise deal yet, so he’s not practicing,” Garrett said. “He’s dropped in really throughout the offseason program. Dez is a special guy. He’s obviously a heck of a football player, obviously very important to our football team. His approach is really well respected by anybody on our team, the guys he goes against. He’s got a great passion for the game, and it’s great to have him here.”
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Cowboys are 10/1 to win the 2016 Super Bowl.
