(The Spread) – Plaxico Burress was released from prison on Monday and oddsmakers have already put together prop odds on where he’ll wind up next.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog have made prop odds on which team will sign Burress once/if the NFL lockout eventually ends. The Eagles, Rams and Jets have already been named as possible destinations for Burress, so it’s no surprise that those teams have the best odds.
The Eagles are 3/2 to sign Burress, while the Jets are 3/1 and the Rams are 11/2. Other teams listed along the prop odds are the Redskins (15/2), Vikings (15/2), Steelers (10/1), Bears (12/1), Giants (12/1), Browns (15/1) and Raiders (15/1).
Bodog has also released odds for the prop, “Will Plaxico Burress be suspended at any point by his team or the NFL during the 2011 Regular Season?” A wager on “Yes” has 1/1 odds.
There are many skeptics when it comes to whether or not Burress will find a job in 2011, but if he’s in shape then his phone should ring once the lockout lifts. At 33 he might not have a plethora of options, but somebody will be interested.
