(The Spread) – Oddsmakers have released prop odds for what the entertainment host Oprah will do next after she hangs up her interview mic.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog.com have made the betting prop “Announce she will be acting in a Motion Picture” as a 2/3 favorite for what Oprah will do next in 2011. “Announce she is running for a political position” is 5/1, as is “Announce she is adopting a child.”
“Announce she will be on Dancing With the Stars Season 13” has 7/1 odds, while “Announce she is getting married to Stedman Graham” has 10/1 odds. Again, this prop odds are all related to the question of “What will Oprah do next in 2011?”
Thousands of viewers are expected to pack the United Center on Tuesday for a star-studded taping of “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” While the guest lineup is being kept a secret for now, the Oprah show did report that actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett will be there.
Believe it or not, the Eastern Conference Finals games between the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat were scheduled so that they would not conflict with the preparations for Oprah’s finale. Meaning that yes, Oprah has eclipsed the National Basketball Association in popularity. It’s a dark day for sports, mankind, and of course…the National Basketball Association. (I’m kidding…I’m kidding…)
Oprah has not reveled her plans yet as to what comes next. Obviously oddsmakers believe that she’ll do a motion picture, but that almost doesn’t seem like Oprah’s style. It makes sense given that she’s worked in the television industry for so long, but “Announce she is running for a political position” would seemingly make more sense given her unwavering support for President Obama. We’ll just have to wait and see what’s next for the talk shot host queen.
