Goals shouldn't be at a premium tonight when the Flyers host the Maple Leafs at 7:00PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Flyers are -290 money line favorites over the Maple Leafs, who have odds of +240 to pull off the big road upset. As for the total, the number currently sits at 5.5 goals.
Steve Mason will start tonight for the FLyers after he blocked 23 of 25 shots against the Red Wings on Wednesday night. But he wound up on the losing end of a 3-0 game as Philadelphia watched its playoff hopes dwindle. Mason was making his 10th straight start and the loss dropped him to 22-19-9.
On the other side, the Maple Leafs will start Jonathan Bernier, who stopped 32 of 36 shots in a 4-3 loss to the Panthers in Toronto on Monday night. Bernier fell to 11-21-3 with the loss and his save percentage is now .907.
The over is 8-3-1 in the last 12 meetings between these two teams and is 3-1-1 in the Flyers' last five games playing on back-to-back nights. The over is also 3-1-1 in the Leafs' last five games overall.
