(The Spread) – If you like the Philadelphia 76ers tonight, you might want to hop on their odds now before they continue to climb through the roof because of the situation going on in Detroit.

Several members of the Detroit Pistons apparently skipped a team shoot-around in protest of head coach John Kuester. Guards Rip Hamilton and Rodney Stuckey, as well as forwards Chris Wilcox and Austin Daye were absent after missing the team bus.
Center Ben Wallace was away to attend to a family matter, while Tracy McGrady didn’t participate in the practice because of a headache and forward Tayshaun Prince sat out with the flu.
Whether Wallace and Prince missed the shoot-around because of protest or excuse is unclear at this point, but oddsmakers have taken notice either way. Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com set the opening lines for tonight’s game at 76ers –9, but the odds have since climbed to –10.5 and who knows where they’ll wind up by tip off at 7:00PM ET.
With 20-some odd games to go, look for the Pistons to find a replacement for Kuester sometime next week. It would send a horrible message that the prisoners are running the asylum, but what else is Joe Dumars supposed to do? The situation could only get uglier from here.
