(The Spread) – The war of words between the New York Jets and New England Patriots continued on Wednesday when cornerback Antonio Cromartie called Tom Brady an “a-hole.”

Earlier this week, Jets head coach Rex Ryan told the media that he didn’t like when Brady pointed to the Patriots’ score during New England’s 45-3 victory over New York in earlier December. That fueled Cromartie to say this to the New York Daily News:
“We see that a lot. He does it a lot,” Cromartie said. “That’s the kind of guy he is. We really don’t give a damn, to tell you the truth.”
Okay, what kind of guy is Brady?
“An ass—-.
“—- him.”
“That’s what I think about him. I don’t really give a damn about him,” he said. “I don’t have to play against him. I play against the receivers.”
Well, Brady is the one throwing to those receivers. “Yeah, but if I beat the s— out of his receivers, he can’t throw the ball,” Cromartie said.
Considering it’s only Wednesday, more fuel may be added to the fire before kickoff on Sunday, although it won’t come from the Patriots. Bill Belichick has instructed his team not to respond to any of the comments made by Ryan or the Jets’ players.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com, the Patriots are 10-point favorites over Sunday’s game. As previously mentioned, New England won the last meeting between these two teams, 45-3.
