Belmont Stakes Updated Odds
(The Spread) – Oddsmakers have updated the lines for the 2011 Belmont Stakes, which will take place this evening at 6:30PM ET.

2011 Kentucky Derby winner Animal Kingdom opened as a 4/1 favorite and now is listed at 2/1 according to oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog. Nehro, who finished second at the Kentucky Derby and also opened at 4/1, remains 4/1 the morning of today’s race.
Shackleford, the horse that ruined Animal Kingdom’s bid to win a Triple Crown by edging him out in the Preakness, is now 9/2 according to Bodog. He too opened at 4/1 but his odds quickly dropped, making Animal Kingdom the clear-cut favorite to win the 2011 Belmont Stakes.
The contenders with mid-range odds are Master of Hounds and Mucho Macho Man, who are both 10/1 to win, respectively. Mucho Macho Man turned heads at the Kentucky Derby by finishing third, while Master of Hounds finished fifth at Churchill Downs and second at the Grade 2 UAE Derby on March 26.
Here are the rest of the updated odds for the 2011 Belmont Stakes: Brilliant Speed, Santiva and Prime Cut are 15/1 respectively, while Stay Thirsty and Ruler On Ice are 20/1, respectively. Isn’t He Perfect and Monzon are the long shots at 30/1, respectively.
The 2011 Belmont Stakes will take place Saturday, June 11 at 6:30PM ET from Belmont Park.
