Women’s Curling Odds
One of the increasingly popular sports of the Winter Olympics is Curling. Here is a look at the odds to win the women’s curling event.
Curling has been an Olympic sport since 1998. It is played by two teams of four players on ice. Teams take turns sliding granite stones toward a colored target called the house. As one player guides the stone toward the target, two sweepers follow the stone and attempt to alter the stone’s speed and direction based on their sweeping. The game has ten ends and each end features eight throws per team with each end being scored similar to horseshoes, where team with the rock closest to the target is awarded one point for each of its own rocks that is closer than the opponent’s closest rock. The total score following all 10 ends determines the winner.
