Men’s 500M Sprint Odds
Don’t blink or you might miss the winning performance in the Men’s 500 Meter Speed Skating event at the 2010 Winter Olympics.
In this event, the skating takes place on a 400 meter oval ice rink. Timed to one-hundredth of a second, athletes compete in by skating counter-clockwise around the oval and changing lanes once per lap, which equals out the distance.
A former silver medalist and three-time world champion for this event, Jeremy Wotherspoon, is favored to win the gold in this Olympics.
Wotherspoon has odds of 7/2 to win the gold medal according to online sports book Sportsbook.com. Other short odds to win are Lee Kang-Seok (4/1), Lee Kyou-Hyuk (4/1), and Keiichiro Nagashima (11/2).
Wotherspoon, a Canadian skater, won the silver medal for this event in 1998 and won the 2003, 2004, and 2008 world championships for this event while also winning one silver and three bronzes in his career.
