Fourth Round Odds
After taking over the lead Saturday with a 6-under 66, Nick Watney heads into the fourth and final round of the 2010 PGA Championship with a three-shot lead.
Watney took over the lead Saturday with two quick birdies and never looked back. He now has a three-shot lead over Dustin Johnson and Rory McIlroy at Whistling Straits and finds himself as the odds on favorite to win this year’s PGA Championship.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com, Watney is now +160 on the moneyline heading into the final round. McIlroy is right behind him at +250 and Johnson is +400.
It was another day and another round in which Tiger Woods failed to shoot in the 60s. He shot a 70 in the second round to get within five shots of the leader, but had to rally today just to shoot a 72. Putting has been Tiger’s downfall of late, which is surprising considering how good he once was on the greens.
Oddsmakers currently list Woods a whopping +15000 long shot to win.
The only player among the top six in his 20s was Liang Wen-Chong – a 32-year-old from China who set the course record at Whisling Straits with a 64. Wen-Chang was at 207 along with 22-year-old Jason Day of Australia, who finished with a 66.
Wen-Chong is +3000 on the moneyline, while Day is +2500.
