Twice Over Odds
With a little luck and good timing, Twice Over finds itself as a contender for Saturday’s Breeders’ Cup Classic.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have given Twice Over 15/1 odds to win. Zenyatta is the pre-race favorite at 3/1 while other mid-range long shots are Mine That Bird at 15/1 and Quality Road at 12/1.
Foaled in 2005, Twice over was sired by Observatory. The 4-year-old made a big splash last month when it won the Champion Stakes with 14/1 odds.
The win was the key to getting the horse into Saturday’s race as Twice Over had not had a major win in 2009, coming third in the Lockinge Stakes and fourth in the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes
Twice Over will come out of gate No. 5 to start Saturday’s race.
The Breeders’ Cup Classic will take place on Saturday, Nov. 7 at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, Calif. For more information on this year’s race, check out our 2009 Breeders Cup Viewing Guide.
