Racecar Rhapsody
If Racecar Rhapsody is going to come out victorious at the 133rd running of the Preakness Stakes, he’ll have to overcome some hefty odds. Chances of that happening though are somewhere between slim and none according to most handicappers.
Oddsmakers from Online Sports Book Bodog have established Racecar Rhapsody at 50/1 odds, along with fellow thoroughbreds Tres Borrachos, Stevil and Riley Tucker. Despite having some respectable numbers in recent showings oddsmakers have still pegged him as an unlikely Preakness contender.
Bet on Racecar Rhapsody in the 2008 Preakness Stakes
Among other long odds that Racecar Rhapsody faces to win the Preakness, this will also be the first time he races in a Grade 1 event and he didn’t race at Churchill Downs for the Kentucky Derby. And only two horses in the past 24 Preaknesses have won despite not racing in the Kentucky Derby.
Racecar Rhapsody’s lack of experience at this level and lack of speed are major concerns that will prevent most Preakness bettors from placing any real stake on this horse.
Racecar Rhapsody will start the 2008 Preakness Stakes from the number 6 post position.
