Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.COM have made Cal State Fullerton a 2.5/1 favorite to win the 2009 CWS. CS Fullerton is set to take on Arkansas in Game 1 of the Series, which will take place this Saturday, June 13 at 1:00PM ET on ESPN.

Speaking of Arkansas, along with Southern Mississippi, the Razorbacks are long shots to win this year’s CWS. Arkansas is a 12/1 long shot, while Southern Miss is a 14/1 long shot, as they have a tough draw facing Texas in Game 4 on Sunday, June 14 at 6:00PM ET.

The Longhorns have shot odds to win at 3/1. They have the most CWS wins of any team to ever play in the annual tournament with 78 victories. In 33 appearances (which is the most of any team in the CWS), Texas has six titles (1949, 1959, 1975, 1983, 2002, 2005).

Another team with short odds to win is North Carolina, who has 3.5/1 odds to win. But despite appearing in the College World Series eight times, the Tar Heels still don’t have any titles. They’ll take on Arizona State (3.5/1) in Game 3 on Sunday, June 14 at 1:00PM ET on ESPN.

The Sun Devils also have an impressive tack record at the College World Series. In 21 appearances, they have five titles, although they haven’t won a championship since 1981.
