After the Orlando Magic surprised the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, the two teams are set to do battle once again when they square off in Cleveland on Friday night.
The Magic shocked the Cavs in Game 1 of this best of seven series, beating Cleveland 107-106 on its home floor. Orlando covered the 8.5-point spread while the 184 total sailed over.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.COM have made the Cavaliers 9-point favorites for Game 2 and have set the over/under total at 187. Cleveland has been listed as a favorite for every postseason game this year.
While looking at the trends, Orlando has amazing numbers against Cleveland. The Magic are 6-0 against the spread versus the Cavs over the last three seasons and is 10-1 against the number over the last three seasons.
We loved the Magic in Game 1 and like them even more in Game 2. We don’t see another straight up victory for Orlando, but giving a team nine points when it has already proven it can hang with its opponent is a gift. We love the Magic to cover the spread on Friday night.
Our free pick for this Eastern Conference playoff matchup is the Magic +9.
