From Doc’s Sports
NFL Prediction From Raphael Esparza:
Take ‘Over’ 50.5 Dallas at Washington (1 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 25)
Both teams are not heading to the playoffs, but Christmas Day morning we should see points hitting the holiday scoreboard. The Cowboys have lost three straight games and in those three losses their defense has allowed 37.3ppg. Saturday the Commanders lost to the Eagles at home 29-18 and if they can score 18 points against the Eagles defense, I see them hitting the mid-20’s on Christmas. The last 5 meetings between these two division teams 4 of them have gone ‘Over’ and we should see a free throwing ton of points type of game. The Cowboys have hit the ‘Over’ in 4-Straight games and their last 12 games 10 of them have hit the ‘Over’.
Soccer Prediction From Doc’s Sports:
Take βDrawβ (+195) Parma vs. Fiorentina (6:30 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 27)
Fiorentina is last on the table at position 20 and Parma is close to the relegation zone in position 16. These are two very bad sides, and their lack of offensive proficiency is a big reason why. The total here is heavily juiced to the under, and we agree with that assessment. This gives us two chances for the draw at 0-0 and 1-1. The last meeting was a 0-0 draw in April. These teams have played six straight draws in all competitions, and seven of their last eight meetings have ended in a stalemate. You rarely see odds under -200 for a draw, and when they are at this point you have to take a serious look at the matchup. Parma has been playing very solid defense lately but their offense has been stagnant, with only a single goal in their last two matches. Fiorentina busted out for five goals last time out vs. Udinese, but before that match they had 12 goals through 16 matches, so they are unlikely to repeat that performance here. With the history of the draw between these sides, we think that is a very likely outcome here.
NFL Prediction From Robert Ferringo:
Take Carolina (+7) over Seattle (1 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 28)
We have racked up 84 of 136 wins in this space (63%) and I am 129-81 (62%) with my newsletter plays over the last 210 weeks. Carolina already beat the Rams. I think that they can at least throw a scare into the Seahawks here. This is a letdown spot for Seattle after their thrilling win over the Rams in overtime last Thursday. Now they have to travel east for a 10 a.m. PST kickoff. This was the same situation that the Rams found themselves in β an early road start after a big win over Seattle β and I think the Seahawks could struggle to get going. Seattle is just 2-3 ATS in its last five games and Carolina has pulled three outright upsets at home in their last four tries as a home underdog. The underdog is 3-1 ATS in this series since 2017. Take the points and look for Carolina to continue to play competitive football.
NFL Prediction From Doc’s Sports:
Take #425 New England(-13) over New York Jets (1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28)
The Jets are a mess and just got pounded by the Saints last Sunday. The Patriots have too much to play for in this game to take it lightly and I see them winning by 20+ points. New England beat New York by 13 points earlier this season and that was a much better team than what they will see on Sunday. The Patriots are playing for the No. 1 seed in the AFC and they are coming off a big win over the Ravens on Sunday Night Football. New England is better in all 3 phases and they will take care of business in a big way at the Meadowlands.
College Basketball Prediction From Strike Point Sports:
Take #306549 Columbia over North Florida (2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 28)
At 2-10 overall, the Ospreys are one of the worst college basketball teams in the entire country. This was expected. So too, was the notion that the Columbia Lions would challenge for the top spot in the Ivy League after returning four starters from a year ago. Recent losses at Stony Brook and Cal shouldn’t faze this team though, as they have a decided advantage on the glass and should score easily against a putrid North Florida defense. Preventing Kamrin Oriol (18.4 ppg) from going off is the number one concern for Columbia.
NFL Prediction From Griffin Murphy:
Take Atlanta (+8) over L.A. Rams (8:15 p.m., Monday, Dec. 29)
Los Angeles comes into this game 11-4 on the year and in a massive divisional fight in the NFC West with Seattle. Los Angeles is in a must-win situation here, yet they do not need to blow the roof off the doors as far as health and risk. Atlanta is 6-9 on the year and presently on a two-game winning streak after beating Arizona Sunday in a 26-19 final as a 3-point favorite. Atlanta is picking up steam, and Los Angeles just needs the win; they don’t need a blowout. Laying 8 points on the road is a brutal number to top this off, especially with 3 of Los Angeles’s 4 losses this season having come on the road. Letβs rock with the dirty birds here and the points!
