Giants reporter Ryan Dunleavy reports QB Davis Webb is likely to start the Giants in Week 18 against the Eagles. Webb was elevated from the practice squad earlier in the day and appears set for his first NFL pass to come in a Week 18 start against the NFC-leading Eagles. It makes sense for the Giants to rest primary starters with the team locked into the sixth seed in the NFC, particularly in light of recent events around the league

Jalen Hurts (shoulder) is questionable for Week 18 against the Giants. Hurts was limited in practice throughout the week, so his status remains up in the air, though Nick Sirianni noted earlier today he is “trending in the right direction.” Needing a win to secure the No. 1 seed in the NFC and the first-round bye that comes with it, Hurts should be able to suit up in an effort to give himself an extra week off heading into the playoffs. Assuming he does play through the shoulder injury, Hurts will return to the upper echelon of the QB1 ranks for Week 18.

This number is massive but I’m still laying it with the Eagles. The Giants will be playing mostly second- and third-stringers today in Philly, whereas the Eagles still need to wrap up the top seed in the NFC. If Hurts does play like I assume he will, then this should be a bloodbath by the middle of the second quarter.
