Cards, Dodgers open weekend series
ST. LOUIS, MO (The Spread) – In a rematch of last year’s NLDS, the Cardinals will host the Dodgers at Busch Stadium III this weekend and are favored tonight.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Cardinals are -117 money line favorites over the Dodgers, who are +108 money line underdogs for tonight’s 8:15PM ET start time. The total, meanwhile, is sitting at 8 runs.
Michael Bolsinger will meet John Lackey in the pitching matchup. The Cardinals are 9-1 in Lackey’s last 10 home starts and are 16-7 in their last 23 games versus the NL West. The Dodgers, meanwhile, are 0-5 in their last five games as a road underdog and are a brutal 1-7 in their last eight games as an underdog.
The under is also 4-1 in the last five meetings between these two teams in St. Louis and 6-2 in the last eight meetings overall.
