Yankees struggling after wins, host Royals on Tuesday

NEW YORK, NY (The Spread) – The Yankees picked up a much-needed victory on Memorial Day but haven’t been stringing many victories together of late.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Yankees are -120 money line favorites over the Royals, who are +100 money line underdogs for tonight’s 7:05PM ET game. The total, meanwhile, is sitting at 8.5 runs.

Chase Headley went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs as the Yankees torched the Royals 14-1 on Memorial Day, but New York is just 2-5 in its last seven games following a victory. The Bombers are also 1-6 in their last seven games overall and 0-4 in their last four games after scoring five runs or more in their previous contest.

The Royals, meanwhile, are 20-7 in their last 27 games following a loss and are 15-5 in their last 20 games as a road underdog. They’ll send Jason Vargas to the hill to take on Adam Warren.
